Summary: "Asterisk" widths of table columns are treated
                    incorrectly
           Product: konqueror
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: SuSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: khtml
        AssignedTo: konq-bugs kde org
        ReportedBy: travisgevans-bugzilla-2333 spambob net

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

According to the W3C HTML 4.0 specification, a table column width can be specified as \
a number followed by an asterisk. For instance, if a row contains columns whose \
widths are specified as "2*" and some as "1*", the columns of "2*" width should be \
rendered twice as wide as the columns of "1*" width. A width of "0*" is supposed be \
the minimum width necessary to hold that column's contents.

Konqueror (and applications using KHTML) appear to interpret such widths as pixel \
units instead, ignoring the trailing asterisk entirely. As a result, the page is \
rendered the opposite of how it should be: Columns of width "0*" are rendered as \
wide as possible, where columns of widths like "1*" and "2*" are scrunched to a very \
narrow size. _______________________________________________
