Package: khtml
Version: 4.0 (using KDE 3.0.1 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: Gentoo
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (release)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.18-xfs
OS/Compiler notes:

Setting -> Configure -> Browser -> Appearance -> Set all fonts to Luxi Sans [B&h]

Go to http://www.google.com/
Enter æøå (ae o/ a-ring).

These are displayed as:
ÃÕå (A~O~ a-ring)

However if you press search the resulting search-field displays æøå correctly.

This behaviour cannot be reproduced on KDE 2.2.
