List: konq-bugs
Subject: Bug#38782: Switching "use index.html" on http-pages works wrongly
From: kdebugs () amen-online ! de
Date: 2002-02-28 13:47:41
[Download RAW message or body]
Package: konqueror
Version: 4.0 (using KDE 2.9.0 2 (3.0 beta2))
Severity: normal
Installed from: SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (SuSE)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.4-4GB
OS/Compiler notes:
If you browse in the Internet and switch "use index.html", Konqueror leaves the http \
protocol and switches to the file protocol.
For example:
http://bugs.kde.org/wizard/index.php
becomes
file:/wizard
(which then is not found).
Rather than searching for non-existing files on the local machine, Konqueror should \
rather ignore this option when using the http protocol.
It would also be nice to have an icon for this option, so that I can see it if I put \
it into the panel.
