Yeah, and as we found out later it really wasn't true. We have been
waiting for KDE 2.2 to be released, as we wanted to use new features
and all the bugfixes.

This point doesn't really apply, as they can test KOffice RC1 (and
soon even KOffice 1.1) with kdelibs 2.1 or newer.

Yes, I know that this is a pity.

As I already said: the situation is different this time.
The 1.1 branch is frozen and whether we branch now and allow active
development in HEAD or if be branch after 1.1 doesn't change anything,
or do I miss something? You can still check out the branch and fix
bugs and so on.

The plan is that the next KOffice release after 1.1 depends on Qt 3
(and therefore also on KDE(libs) 3), therefore we *have* to switch
at some point of time. What do you suggest?

Ciao,
Werner
