The drastic way:
Change this line ( replace 60 with 0):
koffice/lib/kofficecore/koDocument.cc:166:  setAutoSave( 60 ); // 1 minute, 
by default

The gentle way
Put a line like

setAutoSave(0) ;

in the KPresenterDoc constructor.
