I like this hack allowing KWord loading raw KWord files. And I do not 
mind to have it, as it is now.

As for your front-end, I do not think it should go into KArchiver. This 
tool would be a KOffice tool, not a general one. And additionally, it 
would be more a hack tool, unless you make it foolproof (but then it 
would be very different form KArchiver!)

That is basically a hack, needed because I was editing xml files and 
did not
want to retar them..
What we need is a simple front-end for the tars to replace embedded 
pics and
xml files. (maybe in karchiver?)
