I don't know how to reply to this. You are right that Krayon and
Killustrator should share as much as possible. Killustrator is the more
mature app, and perhaps Krayon should use code from killustrator where
possible. However, colors are handled very differently in the two apps
because one primarily concerns shapes and the other pixels. Krayon MUST
use the full 32 bit color, at least, or gray. Not so with Killustrator.
Killustrator really can't use Krayon's color but they can use the same
Kde standard color requestor, which Krayon already uses in addition to
its custom one. I'd assume Killustrator uses the standard kde color
requestor, and can check again.

Most importantly, Koffice apps should be compatible with each other. Not
necessarily look like Adobe photoshop. The fact that Adobe and
Killustrator work together in most ways is great, but the goal is to
have what we need in KOffice, without having to use proprietary apps.

There is no way for me to test Adobe photoshop as I don't have the hard
disk space to reinstall Windows. At best, I can compare with Gimp.
Someone else who does have better equipment than I do and has all these
apps installed can make suggestions. I only have 2.5 gig hard drive.
Hard to believe... Surprisingly, I'v managed to make room for what I
need for now.

Please try the current version of Krayon when you have time. It's not
great yet, but will be, especially with help if you want to get your
hands dirty. Kurve is a catchy name. This is up to the Killustrator
developer and making name changes also involves documentation and
translation headaches, though. I've yet to change "kimageshop" to
"krayon" everywhere yet.
