I don't think we need anything like that at the moment. The KOffice community 
is too small and dysfunctional as it is: we cannot even keep our core 
community healthy and thriving. Except for Krita, which is not really part of 
KOffice anymore, development speed is glacial, due to lack of people working 
on it, which is due to a lack of fun working on KOffice. Plenty of existing 
KOffice developers have told me they are completely demotivated at this point. 
What we should be doing is drawing in more core developers, not trying to grow 
a second community. We should be trying to make our applications usable, 
instead of trying to make our code shiny enough to be put in a shrine.

I'm not sure why Krita is doing fine, but not other the applications -- I 
don't buy the idea that graphics are cool so people want to work on that, but 
office apps aren't. We have seen plenty of interest in the resurrection of 
Kivio, for instance, plenty of interest in KPresenter.
