On Fedora we only have ~/.kde even if we ship some kde3 applications (like
koffice 1.6). We only have a partial kde3 environment but no duplication. That's
why we are going to ship KOffice 1.6 _or_ KOffice 2.0. Here's the question: to
ship it (KOffice 2) or not to ship it on Fedora?
Here are the alternatives:
- Postpone KOffice 2 packages to F12 (to be released at the end of the year) and
maybe add KOffice 2 packages to kde-redhat repository (maintained by the SIG)
- Ship KOffice 2 now (and maybe loose some user because of missing applications
or lack of features)
It's a difficult decision, I know, but we must take the best one before F11 gets
released.
