It may the case it's fixed now with r845527 ... I can't test it cause the 
template-dialog crashes for me each time 
at /home/kde4/svn/_src/KDE/kdelibs/kfile/kfilewidget.cpp:2108 (the splitter 
is NULL). probably after the next kdelibs-update.
