We discussed a little bit about this on IRC with Sebastian, but since not 
everybody was there and the conversation is not archived, here is what we 
said.

There is a need for a better possibility to feed data into shapes. Data that 
comes from kexi, or kspread (in a kchart or other, if kchart/kspread 
developers want to comment about their experience ?) or the web. It could be 
inspired from plasma data engine (or using them). This need a little bit of 
thinking, it's also not a high priority for KOffice 2.0.
