Don't need to learn LateX, try LyX ;-)
Sorry for hijacking this thread with unrelated stuff. hum, wait, not
that unrelated... I can help if you are interested in adding some KDE
oriented feature to LyX; you could adapt it a bit with a KDE flavour and
release the result as a KOffice component. For those who don't know LyX,
it is a fully feature Qt4 based word processor (www.lyx.org).
As for presentations, I agree that LyX is not for the typical
Powerpoint/KPresenter user but the resulting pdf is very good.
