yeah, but on the other hand...

the avantage about using the KOffice name is that the name even spreads out
more. The whole issue looks for me very similar to the @kde.org
mail-addresses thing. On the one hand it's good since that way the work done
by individuals is direct connected with the project and recognized as such.
On the other hand it's bad since actions done by individuals may transport a
message that maybe isn't in the best interest of the project (I just remember
webkit here).
Guess that was one of the reasons @kdemail got introduced since it does try to
find a solution by still having the kde-name (PR++) while still beeing
different enough to outline that this is something on it's own and not an
official part (as in official representatives) of the project.
Taken this into account I guess it would be wise if a company would be also
allowed to use the KOffice-name as long as it's clear, that the company isn't
an official representer but does decide on it's own.

So, all in all, I guess Boemann has a valid point since "KOfficeSource" really
sounds as beeing "the KOffice source" aka "where KOffice comes from".
Somewhat unfair taken into account that there are also other ppl within the
project and even other companies (openoffice.com.pl comes here to my mind
though there name is even more wired but was maybe choosen before StarOffice
got renamed to sound more community-based + Mandriva and KDAB who did also
provide us code+support). Though as far as I understood it, the main business
KoSource provides is about KOffice what makes it even more logical to have
the KOffice name in there + a rename would maybe harm the company cause the
news are out already :-/
