Well, beside the billion of dollars we would use then to organize a hackaton
each week in changing locations starting with Hawaii next week, I don't see
how that could solve the in my eyes somewhat bigger prob of "everything is
part of the whole coperate KDE-desktop". E.g. KOffice is KDE's office-suite,
but is that true? I mean is Abiword Gnome's word processor or Gaim Gnome's
instant messanger? Well, not if you ask users or if you take a look at the
last google soc list of participating _organizations_ ...
So, beside the "KOffice e.V. to have an own bank-account" motivation, I still
ask myself how the KDE e.V. will solve the own identity KOffice misses in the
public (even more visible this days where www.koffice.org doesn't contain any
longer an own logo but uses the same one KDE has - *hint to artists*).
Lot of lines of code to say: KO is not KDE and could be even used on your
favorit blackbox or xfce4-system. It rocks even there! :-)
