Agreed.

Not only that; we have the amount of spaces inside a text that should be 
reviewed.

All of these are equivalent (produce two spaces):

Foo <text:s/>bar
Foo <text:s/> bar
Foo <text:s/>  bar

And all of these are equivalent (produce one space):

Foo bar
Foo    bar
Foo<text:s/>bar
Foo<text:s/> bar
Foo<text:s/>   bar
