You started your email stating you needed improvements in the template 
dialog in order to be able to use it in Kexi.
I doubt those changes are needed at all, and I think you should look at 
fitting Kexi into the template dialog first before you suggest any 
changes.

I repeat:

Where 'that direction' is in the direction of what the 1.5 release of 
KOffice has gone for the template dialog.
