You're right, Creating bar/pie charts is not easy using GNUPlot. I didn't 
think of that.

Speaking of scientific applications, I always use OO Calc for plotting 
measurement data (I use GNUPlot when it needs to look *real* good) and I 
would *love* to be able to do that using KSpread. Unfortunately this is 
not possible.

For scientific data plotting, GNUPlot is just about the best you can get. 
Maybe, some day, KOffice will have a GNUPlot-driven 'plot' object as well 
as a KChart driven chart 'object'...
