For "real" i18n'ization we also have to discuss the names of the variables.
You once suggested to take a look on the names in OO.org's documents. I did.
But since OO.org's mailmerge database (e.g. some spread sheet) has nothing to
do with KAddressbook, I would prefer to leave the names in the xml document
as they are at the moment. The important problem is about the names in the
GUI displayed in the editor and in the "select-variable" dialog. How should
and especially how can they be translated, so that the document-internal
names remain untranslated? Does anyone have any idea about that?

(Since I have my diploma examination in about 2 months, I will not have any
time to code it by myself.)

Regards

Dirk
