Rob Buis
is
working
on Karbon
(but I
don't
think he
has time
for that
by now)
aand I
work on a
"Karbon
fork"
using
multiple
renderings
and
slightly
different
internals.
The main
problem
is that
if we can
share
some UI
elements,
the core
strutures
are very
different:
For
example,
I
recently
wrote a
new color
widget
but as it
is based
on the
VColor
class
(part of
the
Karbon
core), it
will be
difficult
to share
it with
Krita...
In fact,
due to
design
and goal
differences,
the
canvas
and
painters
have
nothing
in
common.
Such a
project
would
need a
serious
rewrite
of both
applications.
Bye,
Ben.
