Hi all,
I have been looking around in the kde bugs database and found some interesting
ones:
* http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40664
Here the user complains about hebrew alligment.
David you were thinking only about align. How about dir? It is also done
automagically by QT, but can be overwritten using ctrl+shift. I may suggest
adding a toolbar button.
If you follow OO example, you can show it only when the user marks a checkbox
in the configuration dialog. We can enable that checkbox by default when
QApplication::reverseLayout, so hebrew and arabic users will see it by
default but all the others will not see it.
There is also the issu of "left align and RTL", right "align and LTR" which
still is messed up in kword IMHO, I need to compile head and check it out
(don't have time now, sorry).
I think this bug may be close IMHO since the problems desctibed there are no
longer relevant. Fixed in 1.2 final.

Printing hebrew in kword is somehow difficult. I dont know why it works for me
out of the box. And in the era of fontconfig this issue is resolved. IMHO we
can close this one too.
If you can, try writing some hebrew letters into kword and print it. (or usng
the kxkb applet or paste hebrew from a web site). If it works for a chinese
user, IMHO we can close this one.
