Hi all..

The icon contest announcement was submitted to theDot for posting some time 
ago but never made it through. I decided to find out why and after some 
discussion got commitment from theDot editors to run the story in a timely 
fashion after doing some general editing so as to make the submission follow 
theDot submission standards.

I've taken the original submission and editted it. You can see it at:

I have only two questions:

 o When does the two months for the contest start?
 o Should anything more specific than "a single compressed archive" be 
prescribed for the icon package? As it stands, it's open to zip, tarballs, 
gzip, bzip, etc... I can be as specific as desired.

Note that it is not my intention to step on anyone's (e.g. Ismael's =) toes 
here. I simply want to see this happen and apparently this is what it is 
going to take to get it posted on theDot.
