The short term solution could be that you can transfer chunks of arbitrary
Postscript code to the printer.
The long term solution should be a more Postscript like printer/drawing API
(e.g. similar to VPainter in koffice/karbon/render)

If you do the second way, you could convert EPS code to some kind of
internal Meta file format and use it directly.
Conversion form arbitrary EPS to editable / viewable data (via Adobe
Illustrator) is done in koffice/filter/karbon/eps and
koffice/filter/karbon/ai.

But it wouldn't make sense to convert EPS/AI style graphics to the current
QPainter/QImage API. The API is too limited.
