Hm, this will push some not so little pressure on karbon.
Besides that there is an issue which needs to be discussed before
forcing us into backwards compatibility: path data.

Dirk Schönberger likes the way SVG stores paths better. I'm pretty
neutral about that now. I think the current karbon way is more XML like,
while SVG abuses XML slightly in favor of saving space.
For the inocents: karbon does something like <path><line x="0"
y="0">...</path> while SVG does something like <path data="0 0 l...">
(very roughly).

The SVG way needs a path data parser in addition to an XML parser while
karbon's current version needs just an XML parser.

Any opinions on that?
