But all dialog boxes do that. 
All the settings->configure*
In konqueror the edit-properties of a file.
In the print dialog
kpresenter; format->page background and format->page layout

Besides; How often does it happen that you don't agree with anything you 
typed, and want to start again?

Cancel is the default, and close (in that dialog) actually does a cancel, 
but that is not directly obvious since close might as well apply before
the cancel.

In light of this, the reset button is just confusing. For instance; does
it reset the settings to the state the dialog was opened in, or only
since apply was clicked?
There are standard dialog box layouts in kdelibs for a reason :)
