Hello Norbert,

sorry for being late with my answer.

As KSpread developer I wouldn't care ;-)
But I think the csv import will be needed somewhere else too. At least the 
database will need it, don't know if it is useful for mailmerge in KWord too.
Shortly thinking about it (and not looking in the code) I would say it's more 
something for the lib. 
Can't you place the dialog in KOfficeUI, make the filter generic (so that it 
provides text/mime data in col/row format) and then we can use it in KSpread 
and everywhere else too?

Hopefilly the mailmerge and the database maintainer can give some comments 
here.
