Hmm, just a question: in such a case, what's the advantage over typing the 
date directly into the text ?
"Insert Current Date (fixed)" has the advantage that you don't have to find 
out what the current date is. 
But if you have to type the date by hand, you might as well do it directly....
(yes, the only difference is treating-as-one-character vs 
treating-as-many-characters).
Just wondering.
