DVI. DeVice Independent. This means printed PS of the displayed DVI would 
overrule the WYSIWYG requirement, of course. Perfect printing comes to a 
cost. Only solution to be able to help excellent qualities of TeX would be  
to have an immensely performant PS display/canvas.
