Have you run without problem "./configure" before doing "make"?

Is the environment variable QTDIR correctly set when you do "./configure"?

You may also look at the result of "./configure --help" to know how to set 
explicitely the path to QT for example.

I am not sure if the following tip also applies to BSD but it might help you.
I suppose that you have not compiled JPG and QT yourself but have install 
them as binaries. If this is the case, you must be sure to install also the 
include files (so called devel packages.)
