Hello,
I am trying to get Thai TrueType fonts to work with X. Got some success for
TTF fonts with the encoding "microsoft-symbol". It works for X Apps and the
rest of KDE. For any KOffice App, it only displays garbage. Displaying a
Thai BDF font (DBThaiText) with iso8859-1 encoding works, however.
The funny thing is that changing the encoding will result in displaying
different glyphs for each encoding except for KOffice, which displays the
_same_ wrong glyphs for any encoding.
Using a standard RedHat 6.1 with KDE-1.1.2 and the KDE-03112000 snapshot. If
anyone wants to get a visual impression of that, please get 2 screenshots of
kword (9KB each) at:
