Hello guys,
Iīve downloaded the kde2.0 an the qt-copy-small rpmīs. After installing them on
my computer, I have an problem getting kde to work. The problem is that kicker
and kdesktop show the following error message:

Cant find mime type application/octet-stream.

but the file is in /opt/kde2/share/mimelnk/application!
Because of this error kicker refuses to work.
What shall I do?

PS: Sorry for posting me this in this mailinglist,
but Iīm only in this want and donīt want to participate in the development of
kde yet. So subscribing to the kde-alpha mailinglist would only flood my
