no. corel's reshuffle of kde is based on kde-1.x; koffice is designed to run
with kde-2.0. now, there are recipes for making kde-2.0 applications work under
kde-1.x by installing both qt libs (and, i suspect, kde2 as well), but this is
something that requires at least some knowledge of the system, which from your
post i suspect you don't yet have.
what probably makes good sense is for you to famniliarize yourself with linux
in general and kde in particular in the coming months and then, when it is
released next spring, upgrade to kde2 and koffice and leave the corel desktop
behind. you will be happier in the interim; kde2 and koffice, though i'm using
them both here, are in very early stages, and neither features nor stability
are at the level yet for which kde is justly famous.
