On Sat, 04 Sep 1999, Brian Avis sent some bits over the net composing to the following:
>Does/will KOffice run on Solaris?? If not are there any plans to make one???

>that the X-terms can run from the server without killing the network, do you
>think KOffice is capable of this?? If not do you have any recommendations.
I am just thinking about what you mean with "capable of running from the server
without killing the network". Do you want to run the apps remotely - using the X
network protocol? AFAIK every app is equally capable of this as X takes care of
updating screen contents. Wether or not this kills you network depends on
- your network ;-)
- the window size(s)
- how much of their contents change
- and how frequently parts of the screen are changing
Forget about this mail if you are not about to do that sort of things. ;-)
