I am a 20 year old Kenyan university student (Bachelor of Medicine and
Bachelor of Surgery, presently tackling an intercalated Bachelor of Science
in Medical Physiology). I am also a trained accountant (CPA).

I am thus not expected to have any gee-whiz hacker skills. Unfortunately, I
fell in love with computers when I was a kid and have been tinkering with
them constantly since.

I have never had any real motivation to learn C/C++ (until now). I've been
tinkering with business software (accounting programs and open source ERPs).
I can code in Python, Perl and PHP (and Pascal).I use Kubuntu 6.10 and I
like the applications - Konqueror, Kate and Kdevelop in particular. More
importantly, I've been driven up the wall by OpenOffice over the last two
months (my complaints are too many to list here). After looking at Koffice,
I concluded that it is the office suite of the future but...needs some work.

I'll be glad to help anyway I can (probably start as a bug-hunter/documentor
then move on to juicier things later).

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Regards,

Daniel Nyaga
