"For the stable KOffice 1.6 you need Qt 3.3.x, arts >= 1.3, and kdelibs
>= 3.3.0 (kdebase >= 3.3.0 is recommended too)."
http://koffice.org/download/source.php

I guess no one bothered to try to build it on 3.3.0 as I believe you
need 3.4 at a minium for the setShadeSortColumn
koOpenPaneBase.cc: In constructor
`KoOpenPaneBase::KoOpenPaneBase(QWidget*, const char*, uint)':
koOpenPaneBase.cc:50: error: 'class KListView' has no member named
'setShadeSortColumn'

Fair enough you guys made a mistake so what do I do after I've
downloaded 55 megs which at our excess rate would be $5.50 or so. Then I
go off and sign-up to the KDE bugzilla and try to submit a report so you
guys will correct your information and not mis-lead people but it tells
me more or less sorry your version is to old go away. Great so I can't
even follow your own bug request system.

Waste of my time and I'd assume a lot of people would think it is a
waste of their time when they have put some much effort into their
respective parts of KOffice just to have it fall apart because A) no one
tested it on the baseline system B) someone made some bad policies about
bug reporting.
