Looking at the code I wonder if it comes from the way the window is closed.
I can see that we're saving the window size when closing the window with
the window-manager "X" button, but I think it's not happening when using
File/Quit. Can you try with the X button and confirm that it works?
If so, I will fix the code so that it also works with File/Quit.
