They are preserved. The OOo import filter sees that there should be a margin
around the slide and imports the paper size (A4) and the margins correctly.
But it seems that KPresenter handles the margins other than OOo Impress. When
setting margins in OOo Impress the content of the slide gets shrunk to still
fit on the remaining space of the slide while in KPresenter the slide gets
shrunk but the content is not resized and therefore is cut off.

So this is a bug in KPresenter I would say. Or it was done that way
intentionaly.

Hmm, I think they should see the same fonts. At least one my machine they do.
The problem here is, that I don't have Nimbus installed and Impress
substitutes it with something that looks like Times Roman and it works well
while KPresenter uses Tahoma, which is the default on my computer. But Tahoma
gives a completly different look for the paragraphs than Times Roman.

I would say the first one is a bug but the second one is a configuration issue
if KPresenter offers the same fonts in the fontlist as Impress offers. If
KPresenter offers not the same fonts it should be checked if this is only
with KPresenter (I doubt) or also for other KDE applications.
