Since there was no response to this I assume that a book is currently not 
badly needed. But I think that all arguments for/against a book still apply, 
so a book would be nice ... but someone actually needs to have time for it. 
Since my time is (sadly) quite limited for additional OSS work I have to 
narrow down to a few important things. I will work more on the codebase 
itself (yes, I'm a developer) and maybe improve the online documentation 
where needed. I think having a stunningly great online documentation is more 
important than having an (external) book about KOffice.

Eugene, if you still would like to have a book about KOffice you might start 
one yourself if you have time (and a publisher...), I would certainly help 
where possible and needed (writing one or the other chapter,...).
