Are we talking of the bzip2 *binary* or the bzip2 "Header files and
libraries for developing apps which will use bzip2"? (see
http://www.rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=bzip2-devel)

They are separate packages, at least of Red Hat.

I ask because there is a thread somewhere in dot.kde.org (IIRC)
dealing with this kind of problem, and some guy just answered "get the
bzip2 _headers_".

As said previously, I will try tomorrow morning the rebuild. However:

1) If the one above is the problem (= lack of the bzip2 headers makes
konstruct build an meinproc-less, incomplete KDE 3.2, and the user
doesn't notice until trying to build something else, KOffice 1.3 in my
case), shouldn't konstruct abort loudly?

2) If again this is the problem where should I start to fix it?
rebuild the whole kde after installing bzip2 headers, or just start
from _where_?
