Subject:    koffice applications fail to start

Hi,

I have just tried installing koffice-1.2.1-7 under Redhat 9 (installing from 
the binary supplied with the Redhat CDs). Installation seems to work OK, but 
when I attempt to run several of the koffice applications nothing happens! 
Below is a list of which start and which don't:

Start OK:	kugar
			karbon

Don't start:	kpresenter
			kword
			kspread
			kformula
			kchart
			kivio

Unfortunately there's no output from any of the commands, so there's nothing 
much to suggest what the problem is. Any suggestions on what the problem 
might be would be greatly appreciated!
