Many people actually want it that way (e.g. if you have trouble reading black text
on white background then you also want KWord to follow your color scheme).

But indeed other people want to see "what will be printed", i.e. white bg.

So IMHO this isn't a bug, but a missing feature. However koffice is frozen for
new features until 1.3 is out....
