Hi Ulrich. I'm sorry for answering this late.

This problem seems to be a problem of fontconfig (v2.1.92). KCharselect shows 
every esstix fonts correctly except esstixeight, esstixthirteen and 
esstixfifteen. xfontsel,(which uses xfs), on the other hand, shows all of 
esstix fonts correctly. Is there any way to fix this beside removing 
fontconfig?
