kword (and all other koffice programs) in CVS HEAD has a new option --print
which can be used to print from the command line........... onto the default printer.
Usually that means real paper. I guess you should be able to either
1) define "print to ps file" as the default printer in the kdeprint config (no
idea how that would work though, wrt the filename etc.)
2) implement a new option in koApplication.cc which implements --printtofile <filename.ps>
