My advice: decide which is your favorite program in the windows/office
world. Then find and work on the counter part in the kde world. If it
doesn't exist, create it.

Your priority should be to find something that is fun for you, and not
something which is mostly needed by others. A super "usefull" program is
worth nothing to anybody if it is not developed anymore because the
authors lost the fun.
