| So the export filter may not be able to generate templates?

well, my plan was to take around 15 company/product presentations in
PowerPoint, and convert them to KPresenter.
Than, develop new presentations, using KPresenter, and export them to XHTML
after all (put on web, CD-ROM, etc.)
Plus, one more option: to produce PDF files from those presentations, for use
by Windows users.

There were no plans from mjy side to support Microsoft (exporting to .ppt),
after all this is done!..

BTW: when such conversion is done, you can alway convinience users to swicth
to Linux in following way:
"Do you want this presentation? Take PDF.
Do you want to edit it, after all? Than you need to install KOffice, running
on latest KDE release"

Well, I remember pretty well how HP (Hewlett-Packard) guys were pushing me
(around 6-7 years ago) to use Ami Pro (wordprocessor) and Lotus
presentations, as their corporate standard was Lotus (and in company where I
was working - corporate standard was Microsoft). Finally we installed Lotus
Notes, just to be able to communicate to HP database, but said "sorry!" about
Ami Pro...

So, while at a first glance my plan can sound unreal, I believe in such
scenario. You need to work hard in that direction, and it will work out!
