Hi
First of all, thanks for a great product. It's a real nice tool to use ..
Back to wishlist,
1)I noticed that styles as defined with stylist, are specific to that=
document. That's certainly not good if it's to be deployed by entire=
office and to follow a uniform style of official documentation, it's=
painful to adjust styles for every document.
I guess the answer is to use templates. I haven't tried yet but I didn't=
see to set default template either.
Basically the styles should be same with all the people and for all the=
documents. My experience is it helps in office environment.
2)In footer, If I type say three words, my company name and page=
number(inserted) and try to align company name to left and page number to=
right, it's not possible. The alignment is applied to entire text and no=
just to selection.
3)I noticed that default header styles have too much font size to adjust in=
space allocated to them. I use mandrake8.1 which has mdk-helvetica=
assigned to all headers. The result is all headers are completely jumbled=
with letters. But if I assign times new roman, it looks beautiful with=
same font size. Is there anyway to pre-judge this effect? Or at least do=
people know why they are getting jumbled headers?
4)While customizing spacings with headers, I saw options for spacing as=
single line, double line, 1.5 lines and custom in mm. Now unless I know=
how many mm a line is, this sounds little confusing..
5)Sorry for the comparison, but in MS-Word, in table of contents, a dotted=
line is drawn from end of text to page numbers. Can it be done in kword?
6)Like in MS-Word, can I attach comment to a selection? I know this can be=
done in kspread. Why not in kword?
Now for kspread
1)How do I make text wrap in a cell?
know I should have search archives for this. I am doing this and gone thr.=
last two months and didn't find many relevant things on this. I personally=
use kword and love it very much. It's a real nice product that needs=
little finish.
If I can be of any help, I would be glad to contribute. I can code a bit=
too but can not commit on time.
Regards
Chamanya
P.S. Please pardon me if margins of this message are not proper. I guess I=
need to switch my mail client if I can not set it from within this.
