I have been trying to produce some figures for publication using kontour and 
sketch.  Sketch works except for some font problems I haven't worked out yet 
while kontour eps output is simply unusable at this point.

The problem with kontour:  I create my diagrams/drawings, lining up boxes and 
lines perfectly, at least according to the screen view.  When I save it to 
eps OR do a print preview, the boxes and lines that look perfect on-screen 
are definitely NOT OK.  The screen shows, for instance, a box perfectly 
aligned with a line so the side of the box exactly over a line.  Upon print 
preview or export to eps, the box is not aligned anymore.  I have even zoomed 
in 1000% to do close work to make sure everything is properly aligned but the 
result is the same.

I have also tried printing to a postscript file - looks crappy and unaligned 
too - and printing to postscript and then running ps2epsi.  The resulting eps 
file is horrible too.

It appears that what is displayed on the screen in kontour has little 
correspondence to print/file output.
