Sorry, but my comment should have made clear that it wasn't possible for me to look \
at it. I had a five minute window where I could send mails (between finishing \
compilation and going off to a birthday party for which I was already too late) and I \
just shoved this out the door.

That's bad then, because the next version of KDE will depend on Qt3 and for KDE 2.2.x \
it's
a. too late
b. no-go, becuase of it being a feature and no bugfix.

Where's the problem? We saved the splitter sizes before, too, didn't we?
You just get the sizes and store it in the config.

Michael, did _you_ apply this patch? Can you please tell me why?
- - It's not that it's so urgent to get this functionality in, is it?
- - KDockWidgets are buggy and obsolete. No-one really wants them in KDE3, only for \
                compat reasons.
- - This patch doesn't respect the original layout settings and splitter sizes. I had \
upon first start a folder list the size of a stamp!
I thought you wanted to look harder at patches before letting them in after the \
Maildir merge and it's effects on IMAP. Sorry, but I really can't understand why this \
patch has made it in. Please revert it.
