We also use this IMAP copy command when you move message between IMAP folder. 
We don't upload them again.

Nevertheless, filtering should either only retrieve the headers or even 
better use the search functionality of the server, then not even the headers 
have to be retrieved.

The very best solution is of course, if the filtering is done on the server 
automatically without any mail client doing anything.
That can be done for example with procmail, but not all IMAP providers 
support such things.

Well, for completeness, it would of course also be nice, to be able to move 
mails retrieved via POP3 into IMAP folders via filters.

But all these feature will surely not go into KDE 2.2 :-)
