Maybe. But the auto-conversion should under no circumstances change the 
header of an attached message. Only the headers of the message itself 
could be changed.

This is pretty much different from what Michael quoted in his message. 
Why should an MTA have changed any of these header entries? This is 
really weird.

But if this is really caused by some MTA autoconverting quoted 
printable to 8 bit or vice versa then there is nothing we can do about 
the problem M. Brade reported. In this case the problem seems to be 
caused by some buggy MTA. Or a buggy MUA which doesn't set the correct 
content transfer encoding.
