I just hit the same bug as Matthias: trying to download from mclink.it POP 
server (mail.mclink.it) will not work, and KMail will wait a long time until 
the server timeouts and brings down the connection (same error message as 
previously posted). Simultaneous download with MS Outlook on a Win box works 
fine (account is configured in the exact same way).
